A community-centric learning model rooted in these local contexts fosters a sense of belonging and engagement, encouraging students to actively participate in their communities,” he said.
Attry also highlights the transformative role of ed-tech in this reimagined educational landscape. “Ed-tech platforms are crucial in bridging gaps left by conventional education systems. They offer personalised, accessible learning experiences that cater to different learning styles and paces,” he explains. By combining community-focused initiatives with the adaptability of technology, education becomes more inclusive and responsive, empowering students to navigate the complexities of an ever-evolving global economy.

Monica Malhotra Kandhari, Managing Director of AASOKA, further reinforces the potential of community-centric learning. “A community-centric education model signifies a transformative shift where knowledge sharing thrives within a collaborative, nurturing environment. This approach encourages schools, families and local organisations to work together, fostering deeper engagement and improving educational outcomes.”
She also stresses the importance of Edtech platforms in supporting this paradigm. “Through online tools, students can access diverse resources, connect with experts, and gain a deeper understanding of various topics. Virtual collaboration platforms enable students to engage with their communities, working on real-world projects that address local challenges. This balance of online learning and community involvement creates a more comprehensive educational experience,” Kandhari adds.
