A distinguished delegation from Pace University in New York, USA, paid a visit to O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). The delegation, led by their president, professor Marvin Krislov, included prominent members of the senior administration. This visit underscores the mutual dedication of both institutions to fostering long-term collaborations and partnerships across a range of academic disciplines. Pace University, a renowned educational institution headquartered in New York, has gained international recognition for its groundbreaking contributions to education, according to an official release.

This visit marks a step in the ongoing collaboration between JGU and Pace University. It claims to have already led to successful partnerships between Jindal Global Law School, Jindal Global Business School, Elisabeth Haub School of Law and Lubin School of Business. The latest visit aims to further expand this collaboration into new areas like psychology, social sciences, finance and public health. the release mentioned.

An exciting highlight of the visit is the signing of a Semester Abroad Agreement between Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), Jindal School of Banking and Finance (JSBF), and the Lubin School of Business at Pace University. This agreement aims to offer O.P. Jindal Global University students a transformative experience, allowing them to study at the dynamic Lubin School of Business. They’ll benefit from expert faculty at Pace University and gain invaluable cross-cultural learning opportunities, as per the release.

C. Raj Kumar, founding vice chancellor of O.P. Jindal Global University emphasised that the primary objective of the visit was to strengthen and expand the relationship between the two institutions. Kumar also highlighted the vital roles that both the United States and India play in advancing higher education, as both nations are leading democracies deeply rooted in values of pluralism, diversity and inclusivity. He noted that these societies cherish not only individual freedom of speech and expression but also the importance of institutions safeguarding these freedoms and promoting civil liberties, the release mentioned.

Additionally, an agreement for a short-term study abroad programme for JGU students at Pace University will also be signed. This agreement offers JGU students a chance to engage in specially designed courses that delve deep into the nuances of business, entrepreneurship and finance. These agreements aim to empower students with a global perspective and equip them with valuable lifelong skills, it said.
