The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the results for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 retest today (July 1). This retest was held for 1,563 candidates. Students who participated in the retest can now check their scores on the official website — exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/.

The final answer key for the NEET UG retest was published on June 30 at around 1:30 pm.

The NTA conducted a retest for 1,563 candidates who had previously been awarded grace marks due to loss of exam time. Out of these, 813 candidates appeared for the retest. The retest took place in the same six cities but at different centres.

From the 813 candidates, none achieved a perfect score of 720/720, reducing the total number of perfect scores from 67 to 61. Five of the six candidates who had previously scored 720/720 appeared for the retest on June 23, maintaining high scores above 680.

According to the data, none of the two candidates from Chandigarh appeared for the exam. A total of 291 out of 602 students from Chhattisgarh, 1 student from Gujarat, 287 out of 494 from Haryana, and 234 from Tura in Meghalaya appeared for the retest.

Affected students were given the option to retain their original scores without grace marks or appear for the retest. Those who participated in the retest on June 23 will receive a revised score. Students who skipped the retest will be awarded their original scores, excluding the grace marks.

There are several other petitions regarding the NEET UG 2024 results pending in the Supreme Court, with most scheduled to be heard on July 8.
