The National Testing Agency (NTA) has expanded its reach by introducing new examination centres abroad for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024. Beginning the registration process on February 9, NTA is now inviting applications from candidates residing outside India.
Cities such as Kuwait City, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bangkok, Colombo, Doha, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, and Singapore have been included as new examination centres for NEET UG 2024.
NTA announced that candidates who initially selected centres within India but now wish to opt for foreign centres will have the opportunity to make changes during the NEET UG 2024 application correction window. Similarly, candidates residing abroad who want to switch to foreign cities can also do so during the correction period, albeit with payment of the differential amount.
For fresh applicants from foreign countries, the option to select foreign centres is available directly during the application process.
NEET UG application forms, along with information bulletins, syllabi, and exam patterns, are accessible at neet.ntaonline.in.
Several modifications have been implemented for NEET UG 2024. The application process, previously hosted on neet.nta.nic.in, is now shifted to a new website, neet.ntaonline.in. Additionally, the application fees have been revised for all candidate categories.
NEET UG 2024 exams will cover four subjects: physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology. Minor alterations were made to the NEET syllabus in 2023 by the National Medical Commission (NMC) to align with post-Covid changes in the NCERT syllabus.
