In 2024, the general category cut-off percentile was 50, with a score range of 720–162. For SC, ST, and OBC categories, it was 40 percentile, corresponding to a score range of 161–127. With the paper being tougher in 2025, cut-offs might slightly drop. However, this depends on overall performance and merit trends.

NEET UG follows a strict marking scheme to maintain standardisation. For every correct answer, students receive four marks. For each incorrect answer, one mark is deducted. Unanswered questions do not attract any marks. This negative marking policy makes it crucial for aspirants to avoid guesswork and focus on accuracy while attempting the paper.

As per the latest report, there is a possibility that NTA may release the NEET UG result 2025 today, but there is no confirmation on it for now. Students are advised to be ready with their login credentials as results are expected to come out soon.

NEET UG 2025 cut off in 2024 for General and Unreserved (UR) was 720-162, for the OBC/SC and ST it was 161-127. For the PwD General, it was 161-144, and for the PwD reserved sections was 143-127.

As per the last four years’ trends, NEET UG results in 2024 were declared on June 4. In 2023, it was released on June 13, in 2022, it was out on September 7, and in 2021, it was announced on November 1.

Students who appeared for NEET UG 2025 reported that the paper was more difficult than in previous years. Several test-takers noted that the questions were conceptually deeper and more time-consuming, especially in physics and biology sections. With such a massive turnout, NEET continues to be one of the largest entrance examinations conducted in India annually for undergraduate medical admissions.

In addition to the NEET UG 2025 result, NTA will release the final answer key. This answer key is the updated version after evaluating challenges to the provisional key. It helps students verify their performance and compare it with the expected cut-off before counselling begins for MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH seats across the country.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected announce the NEET UG 2025 results by June 14. Along with the scorecards, the final answer key will also be released.
