The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the test cities for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024. NBEMS also clarified that the test cities and centers previously communicated in the admit cards for NEET PG 2024, initially scheduled for June 23, are no longer valid.
“Due to additional security measures by NBEMS and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, the examination will now be conducted in 185 test cities nationwide,” stated the official notice.
Candidates who received NEET PG 2024 admit cards earlier will need to select their test cities again during an online window from July 19 to 22 (until 11:55 pm) on the official website — natboard.edu.in. The allocated test city will be communicated via email on July 29, and the test venue will be detailed in the admit card to be released on August 8.
Candidates should be aware that they will not have the option to choose their examination shift (morning or afternoon). “The timings for both shifts will be announced in due course,” the notice mentioned. This will be the first time the test is conducted in two shifts.
The NBE postponed the NEET PG exam on June 22, just hours before it was set to begin, as a precautionary measure. “This decision has been taken in the best interests of the students and to maintain the integrity of the examination process. New dates will be announced soon,” the ministry stated.
