The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced a change in the schedule for the release of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG 2024 exam city allotment slip. Originally scheduled for July 29, the release has been deferred to July 31. The NEET PG exam is set to take place on August 11, with admit cards being issued on August 8.

According to an official notice, candidates will receive their test city allocation information via email on July 31. This information will not be available on the exam’s official website, natboard.edu.in. The NBEMS stated that the test city allocation will be communicated to candidates based on their preferred choices submitted earlier.

In cases where the number of available test cities in a candidate’s state or union territory is less than four, or if the demand exceeds the available capacity, candidates will be offered test cities from nearby states or union territories. The allocation will be done randomly from the provided choices, and these choices will not reflect an order of preference.

“If a test center cannot be allocated within the state of correspondence address or nearby states, candidates will be assigned a center anywhere in the country based on availability,” the notice added.

The NEET PG 2024 exam was initially scheduled for June 23 but was rescheduled by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) as a precautionary measure. NBEMS had previously released a list of 185 cities where the exam will be conducted and instructed candidates to select four preferred test cities. Candidates who did not provide any preferences during the online window will be assigned a test center by NBEMS based on availability.

As the new date approaches, candidates are advised to regularly check their registered email IDs for updates on their test city allotment and to prepare for the revised exam schedule.
