Macquarie University launched a new course in Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science for undergraduate students. Offered by the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences, the programme aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the global competitive sports landscape, as per the official announcement. 

As per the university,  a three-year degree programme will allow students to explore diverse disciplines crucial to the field. Throughout their studies, it claims that students will engage in topics such as human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, sports psychology, exercise rehabilitation and fitness, to develop a comprehensive understanding of exercise and sports science. 

Moreover, at the completion of the course, the institute claims that students can work on the Roles such as Sports Performance Analyst, Exercise Physiologists, Strength and Conditioning Coaches, Sports Nutrition Consultants and others, as outlined in the release. 

As per the institute, this degree was awarded qualifying accreditation in 2022 and will be considered for full accreditation in 2023, 2024. University further claims that the scholarships are also available for eligible students.
