Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology – Delhi (IIITD) and The University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY Albany), have officially entered into a Memorandum of Agreement, aiming for global education, cultural exchange and collaborative research initiatives, as per the official announcement.

The agreement, signed by Havidán Rodríguez, President of SUNY Albany and Ranjan Bose, Director of IIITD, emphasises the mutual interests of both institutions in fostering international understanding and promoting faculty and student experiences. 

As per the statement, over the next five years, the collaboration will encompass various key areas, including faculty development, dual degree agreements, visiting scholars programmes, short-term academic and cultural experiences, cooperative research projects and student exchange programmes.

“This strategic partnership will play a pivotal role in fostering innovation through joint projects that would enhance the quality and impact of research. Student and faculty exchanges will lead to both knowledge exchange and knowledge co-creation,” Ranjan Bose, said. 

Additionally, cooperative scientific and academic research projects are being envisioned, aimed at mutually beneficial outcomes. The commitment extends to providing graduate and undergraduate students with opportunities to undertake courses, internships, service-learning activities, and research projects at the partner institution, as per the institute.

“The goal is to think about how we can enhance this partnership with IIITD for academic and research collaborations. There are many areas of synergy where both the institutes can collaborate for providing students with diverse, enriching educational opportunities,” Havidán Rodríguez, said.
