The registration period for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 will conclude tomorrow. After tomorrow, candidates can still register by paying a late fee until October 7, 2024.

The exam is set to take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, and is designed for admission into postgraduate engineering programs. Exam Pattern

GATE 2025 will feature 30 different examination papers, from which candidates can select one or two based on permitted combinations. The test duration will be three hours, and GATE scores will remain valid for three years from the date of the results.

Negative Marking

The exam includes negative marking for incorrect answers:

– For a 1-mark multiple-choice question (MCQ), 1/3 mark will be deducted for an incorrect response.

– For a 2-mark MCQ, a deduction of 2/3 mark will apply for an incorrect answer.

Eligibility Criteria

Students in their third year or higher of any undergraduate degree program, as well as those who have completed a government-recognized degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts, or Humanities, are eligible to take the GATE exam.
