In a pioneering effort to bolster both national and global cybersecurity infrastructure, CyberPeace has formally entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), a central university of national importance situated in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India, specialising in national and internal security and police matters and the Security and Scientific Technology Research Association (SASTRA). It is essential to note that RRU is distinct from the Indian Defence University, which primarily focuses on the Indian military, and Security and Scientific Technology Research Association, according to an official release.
The core objective of this strategic alliance is to collaboratively undertake research projects, concentrate on curriculum development and facilitate exchanges of students and faculty, all aimed at advancing global knowledge and fortifying national security. The partnership strives to leverage the collective expertise and resources of both institutions to promote innovation and excellence within the realm of cybersecurity. Key areas of cooperation encompass joint research initiatives, curriculum development, faculty and student exchange programmes, internships and the implementation of comprehensive training modules in cybersecurity and cyber defense, the release mentioned.
A pivotal aspect of this collaboration is the inauguration of the RRU-CyberPeace Center of Excellence at Rashtriya Raksha University. This center will function as a focal point for cutting-edge research and development in cybersecurity, concentrating on critical and emerging technologies.
“The alliance between CyberPeace and RRU marks a pivotal moment in our enduring quest for a secure cyberspace. This collaboration is more than just working together; it’s a union of knowledge and vision to create an impenetrable barrier against online attacks. By working together, we are fostering a cross-border culture of cyber resilience and peace in addition to bolstering cyber defences,” Vineet Kumar, global president, founder, CyberPeace, said.
The collaboration is dedicated to capacity building through an array of training programmes covering cyber operations, digital forensics, cyber law and cyber diplomacy, transcending conventional cybersecurity frameworks. The partnership aims to harness the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Quantum Computing to tackle intricate cybersecurity challenges, it added.
“This partnership seeks to raise the bar for cybersecurity excellence by combining knowledge and resources. This collaboration with CyberPeace highlights a calculated strategy that prioritises leadership, innovation and education in order to successfully address changing cybersecurity issues,” Nidhish Bhatnagar, Rashtriya Raksha University, said.
