NTA CUET UG 2025 Result Highlights: Scorecard declared at cuet.nta.nic.in – Here’s how to check

In a first, NTA has released the application numbers of candidates who have scored the highest score in five subjects, instead of announcing CUET UG 2025 toppers.

A total of 17 candidates have secured a 100 percentile score in three of their chosen subjects. Additionally, 150 students achieved 100 percentile in two subjects, while 2,679 students attained the perfect score in one subject.

CUET UG 2025 was held in 13 languages, including Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Odia, Urdu, Assamese, Kannada, Punjabi, and Bengali—ensuring linguistic inclusivity.

The CUET UG 2025 results have been prepared strictly based on the final answer keys released by the NTA. No objections or challenges to the answer keys will be entertained. The marks obtained as per the final keys are considered final. The NTA has also clarified that there will be no re-checking or re-evaluation of answer sheets under any circumstances.

Several state and central universities use CUET UG scores for undergraduate admissions. These include:-

According to CUET UG 2024 statistics, English was the most opted subject, with 10,07,645 registered and 8,22,518 appeared candidates—retaining its position as the top choice among aspirants.

Candidates will receive +5 marks for each correct answer and -1 mark for each incorrect one. No marks will be awarded for unattempted or marked for review questions.

The provisional answer key was released on June 17, and candidates were allowed to raise objections until June 20. After evaluating the objections, the final answer key was released.

Candidates found involved in unfair practices such as cheating or impersonation will have their results cancelled. Also, appearing at a center not allotted by NTA may lead to disqualification, with no scope for appeal.

In multi-shift papers, raw marks will be normalised using a statistical method to calculate NTA scores, ensuring fairness across shifts and sessions. These scores will be used to prepare the final merit list.

For questions with more than one correct option, candidates will receive five full marks if they selected any of the correct answers, as per CUET UG 2025’s marking policy.

NTA released the final answer key on July 1, 2025. A total of 27 questions across different subjects were dropped, and candidates will receive full marks for these, irrespective of whether they attempted them.

CUET UG 2025 was conducted between May 13 and June 3. For candidates who faced technical or administrative issues on May 13 and 16, re-tests were held on June 2 and 4.

A good CUET score depends on your target university and course:

-Very Good: 900+ (98–99 percentile, out of 1250 for 5 subjects)

-Good: 700–850 (90+ percentile)

-Average: 600–700 (80+ percentile)

-Low: 400–650 (below 80 percentile)

-For top central universities (like DU, JNU, BHU), competitive courses often require 200–235 per subject (out of 250).

Options if your CUET score is low:

140 out of 250 marks is about 56% of the total score.

This typically places a candidate in the 65–75 percentile range.

For mid-tier universities and less competitive courses, 140 can be sufficient, especially for OBC, EWS, and SC/ST categories. For top universities and popular courses, higher scores are generally required.
