The Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates (CUET-UG) 2025, originally scheduled to begin on May 8, is likely to be postponed, PTI report quoted sources as saying. An official confirmation and revised schedule from the National Testing Agency (NTA) are expected shortly.

Although the exam is just days away, the NTA has not yet released the subject-wise datesheet, raising concerns among students and institutions alike. The delay follows the conclusion of the NEET-UG 2025 examination, a major nationwide test that had come under scrutiny last year over concerns about its integrity and transparency.

CUET-UG is a key exam for undergraduate admissions across central and several other universities in India. This year, the exam has received a record 13.5 lakh applications.

In a shift from previous years, the 2025 edition of CUET-UG will be held exclusively in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Past editions have faced technical issues and scheduling complications, including a last-minute cancellation across Delhi in 2024 due to logistical problems.

Students are advised to keep checking official NTA websites for the latest updates.
