The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP), and the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) are gearing up to announce the dates for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. These exams are expected to kick off in February.
CBSE has stated that the final exams will start on February 15 and likely wrap up on April 10. The UP board’s Class 10 (High School) and Intermediate (Class 12) exams are also scheduled for February, according to the UPMSP academic calendar. BSEB generally conducts Matric and Inter exams in February.
For UP Board Class 12th, the practical exams will be held in two phases, from January 25 to February 1 and from February 2 to February 9.
The detailed time tables for CBSE Class 10 and 12 will be published on cbse.gov.in and cbse.nic.in. UPMSP will release its date sheets on upmsp.edu.in, and BSEB will announce Bihar board exam dates on biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in and social media platforms.
Typically, boards release date sheets for written and theory exams about one or one and a half months before the first exam. In the previous year, the datesheet was made public in the latter part of December 2023. The first day of exams for both CBSE courses was February 15.
To anticipate the examination dates, students can refer to the previous year’s exam dates as the boards generally follow a similar pattern unless unforeseen circumstances arise, as seen in 2020 during the Covid-19 outbreak in India. CBSE and the Uttar Pradesh Board have signaled their intent to conduct exams in February, and Bihar Board might follow suit.
