The CBSE will not be releasing the merit list along with Class 10-12 board exam results 2025. A topper list of highest scoring students will not be announced. However, the region-wise highest and maximum pass-percentage will be announced in the CBSE board exam results 2025 press conference.

There was a fake letter circulated under the name of CBSE dated May 2 announcing that CBSE Class 10-12 Results 2025 will be released on May 6, 11 AM. However, CBSE has bashed the fake news. There is no official date of CBSE Result 2025 announced yet.

CBSE may award grace marks to students who narrowly miss the passing criteria, giving them an opportunity to pass despite slight shortfalls. However, the decision to grant these marks lies entirely with the board and is not guaranteed for all students.

In addition to CBSE’s official websites and DigiLocker, students can also access their Class 10 results through the UMANG app. With its user-friendly mobile interface, the app offers a convenient way for students to check their scores anytime, anywhere.

Students who meet the minimum passing criteria of 33% in each subject have successfully cleared the CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations. Those who fall short will have an opportunity to appear for the compartment exams, scheduled to take place between July 15 and July 22, 2025.

The Class 10 pass percentages over the past five years reflect consistent performance: 91.46% in 2020, 99.04% in 2021, 94.40% in 2022, 93.12% in 2023, and 93.60% in 2024. With this year’s exams considered moderately challenging, the 2025 results are expected to remain above the 93% mark.

CBSE has issued a clarification after a fake letter dated May 2, 2025, falsely announcing the Class 10 results began circulating on social media. In an official statement posted on X, CBSE confirmed that no result declaration has been made yet for either Class 10 or Class 12 for the 2025 academic session.

The board urged students, parents and stakeholders to refrain from sharing unverified news and to rely solely on official sources for accurate information. CBSE advised the public to check updates only through its official website, cbse.gov.in

Students can also access their CBSE Class 10 and 12 results through the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). To use this service, they need to dial 24300699, adding their local area code before the number.

Once the results are declared, students will be able to check and download their scores from the official websites cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in and cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in

CBSE Class 10 results are likely to be announced between May 7 and May 12. With more than 24 lakh students appearing for the exams and the pass percentage could surpass last year’s 93.60%. Students can access their results on cbse.gov.in and DigiLocker.

With pass rates of 87.33% in 2023 and 87.98% in 2024, the CBSE Class 12 results for 2025 are expected to stay on a similar trajectory. Given that this year’s papers were largely rated as easy to moderate in difficulty, the overall pass percentage may see a slight uptick.
