Class 12 students who fail in only one subject can appear for a supplementary exam. Those failing in two or more subjects must retake the entire year’s exams.

Students failing in up to two subjects in Class 10 can take compartment exams in July or August. A minimum of 33% in each subject is necessary to pass.

Students can receive their results via SMS by typing: cbse12 (roll number) (school number) (center number) and sending it to 7738299899. Marks will be sent directly to your phone.

Once results are out, check your name, subject-wise marks, total score, grade, and pass status. Report any discrepancies to your school immediately for correction.

To view results on DigiLocker, go to digilocker.gov.in, choose your class, and enter your roll number, school code, and 6-digit PIN (shared by your school). After OTP verification, results will appear in the “Documents” section.

This year, 24.12 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 exams held at 7,780 centers across India, reinforcing its scale and importance in shaping academic paths.

To pass Class 10 or 12, students must score at least 33% in each subject and overall. Grace marks may be granted in borderline cases. Students failing in one or two subjects can take compartment exams; those failing in more must repeat the year.

While CBSE hasn’t confirmed the exact 2025 result date, historical patterns suggest a mid-May release. In 2024, results were declared on May 13, and on May 12 in 2023. In 2022, the pandemic delayed the results until July — a delay not expected this year.

Over 42 lakh students who took the CBSE Class 10 and 12 board exams between February 15 and April 4 are eagerly waiting for their results. Based on past trends, the outcome is expected by mid-May. Students can check their scorecards on cbse.gov.in, DigiLocker, and UMANG.
