The Central Board examination for classes 10th and 12th is around the corner, creating a hectic environment for students. Amid the mental pressure among students, it is easier to fall for fake news. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has acknowledged the ongoing rumour around the examination paper leak and requested students to not fall prey to unauthorized information.

The CBSE, which organizes board exams for students in India, recently issued a notice addressing rumours about leaked exam papers and fake links to sample papers. As per the official schedule, the board exams are scheduled from February 15 to April 2, 2024. The board assured students and parents of fair conduct and security measures at exam centers.

Concerns were raised about social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Telegram spreading false information about leaked papers and providing fake links to sample papers. Some individuals share fake photos and videos of exam papers for money. The CBSE warned against such activities, which can cause confusion and disrupt exams.

The board stated that it is actively monitoring social media and collaborating with authorities to identify and take strict action against those involved. Students spreading fake news may face penalties under exam rules and relevant laws.

The public is urged to stay vigilant and avoid sharing unverified information about exams. It’s essential to rely on official sources for accurate updates and not contribute to spreading rumours.
