Bihar topper Ganesh Kumar arrested: After Ganesh Kumar, Class 12th Bihar Arts topper failed to show any of his academic prowess, Bihar School Exam Board Chairman Anand Kishore on Friday said that Kumar’s result has been canceled with immediate effect. Meanwhile, the police have arrested Ganesh and registered a case against him. Kishore who on Thursday gave a clean chit to Ganesh while saying that no one can raise the question on his merit today said that a case has also been registered against school authorities. The case that came up over rising speculation of yet another education scam in the state of Bihar that eventually brought Ganesh Kumar to the center of a controversy for getting unexpected marks in a subject.
Ganesh Kumar reacted after being arrested by saying, “I have faith in the law, don’t want to say anything else.” He told ANI, “When poor people study, this is the way they get caught. If this continues, then in future people will become mafia and terrorists.” (Ghareeb log jab padhai karte hain vo aise phans jate hain, aage aisa hi hua to log mafia aur aantankwadi banenge.)
Ganesh, 24, hails from Saraiya, Giridih in Jharkhand, claimed to be a student of Ram Nandan Singh Jagdeep Narayan College in Samastipur. He scored 82.6 per cent marks in class 12. He scored 65 out of 70 in Music practical, 18 out of 30 in Music Theory and 92 marks out of 100 in Hindi. Considering his high Music practical marks, Ganesh should have been well trained in Music. But news reports have shown Ganesh doesn’t have much idea about Music. Ganesh even failed to answer basic questions related to the subjects in which he secured the highest marks. Not only that when he was asked to play some instruments and sing a song, he seemed unable to play anything in tune.
