Indian lawmakers from across parties headed to various countries last week as India sought to reiterate its message of “zero-tolerance against terrorism” after Operation Sindoor. The groups — several led by key members of the Opposition — have since met with top global leaders to clarify its stance amid escalating tensions with Pakistan. Against this backdrop, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju shared a video compilation of the remarks made by the various leaders on Thursday.

“When it comes to defending Bharat, We are not many, We are One. One mission. One message. One Bharat,” he wrote on X while sharing a video compilation.

The clip began with Congress leader Shashi Tharoor noting during one of these recent interactions that he was a member of the Congress and did not work for the government Shiv Sena (UBT) leader noted that she was a vocal member of the Opposition while AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi acknowledged his political differences with the Centre while noting that the entire nation was united against terrorism. The quick mashup of remarks also featured NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee and DMK’s Kanimozhi Karunanidhi.

“We are from different parts of India…north, south, east, west. We have different mother tongues and out of the eight of us…we represent five different religions. Yet we are one India,” BJP leader Baijayant Panda reminded in his short speech excerpt.
