Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan addressed questions regarding the losses suffered by the Pakistan side during Operation Sindoor, emphasizing that the exact figures of losses are less important than the overall outcome and actions taken.

“When I was asked about losses on our side, I said these are not important. The results and how you act are important. It would not be very correct to talk about losses,” General Chauhan said in a recent statement.

He explained the perspective using a cricket analogy, stating, “Suppose you go in a cricket test match, and you win by an innings defeat, then there’s no question of how many wickets, how many balls and how many players.”

The CDS assured that a technical assessment is underway and the Indian military will soon provide details on the extent of damage inflicted during the operation. “Based on technical parameters, we will take out this particular data and share it with you. We will tell you how many aircraft we destroyed and how many radars did we destroy. We’ll make a rough assessment of that and come out with that shortly,” he added.

The detailed damage assessment report is awaited, which will provide clearer insights into the operation’s impact on Pakistan’s military assets.
