After a day of dense fog in various parts of Rajasthan, the state is likely to experience rain and hailstorms starting Thursday, while it continues to endure severe cold. The Meteorological Centre in Jaipur has forecast light to moderate rain in some areas, including Udaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Bikaner divisions, due to a new western disturbance.
The weather remained generally dry across the state in the past 24 hours, with dense to very dense fog observed at several locations. Western Rajasthan, in particular, experienced a “cold day,” with temperatures significantly lower than usual.
The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 3.8 degrees Celsius in Fatehpur (Sikar), while Sangaria (Hanumangarh) saw 4.3 degrees Celsius. Churu recorded 5 degrees Celsius, Ganganagar 6.5 degrees Celsius, and Pilani 5.7 degrees Celsius.
The Met department has also predicted light rain in parts of Kota and Bharatpur divisions on December 28, while most other regions will remain dry.
