According India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) latest update, light intensity rain is expected in areas including Karnal, Rajaund, Assandh, Safidon, Jind (Haryana), Gangoh, Deoband, Nazibabad, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut (Uttar Pradesh) over the next 2 hours.

A Western Disturbance, acting as a channel in middle and upper tropospheric westerlies is expanding longitudinally. A cyclonic circulation is present over West Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan and nearby areas in the lower tropospheric level.

Regional Rainfall Forecast:

Arunachal Pradesh will likely experience fairly widespread to light/moderate rainfall/snowfall with isolated thunderstorms and lightning from today to 9th April. Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura will likely see scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall during the same duration. There are chances of isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh from 4th April to 7th April.

Temperature Watch:

Minimum temperatures are 3-5°C above normal in most places over Tripura and at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim. A gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C is expected to be over many parts of East India in the next 3 days, with no significant change thereafter.
