In its latest weather bulletin on Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted intense rain and thunderstorm activity over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya today and a fresh spell of intense rainfall/thunderstorm likely from March 30.
As per IMD, isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, and isolated heavy rainfall over Assam & Meghalaya. Meanwhile, fairly widespread rainfall with isolated thunderstorms & lightning is very likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from March 27 to 30.
Isolated light to moderate rainfall very likely over Bihar 26th, 27th & 30th and over Jharkhand & Odisha on 30th March.
Snow, rainfall in hilly regions
A fresh western disturbance is likely to hit the himalayan region, which will bring widespread light rainfall and snowfall over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand till March 29.
Meanwhile, isolated hailstorms are likely over Himachal Pradesh on March 28 and 29. Isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall is also likely in the upper areas of northeastern states, IMD mentioned.
Delhi sees clear day with moderate temperature
Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 17.7 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning, while the maximum temperature settled around 34 degrees Celsius.
Further, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of the national capital was recorded in the moderate category with a reading of 120 at 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
On Monday, the city’s maximum temperature settled at 33.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 15.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season’s average.
