The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted dense fog for Uttar Pradesh and light to moderate rainfall accompanied by isolated thunderstorms and lightning in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Mahe, Kariakal, and Puducherry on November 21. Similar weather conditions will prevail in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands throughout this week, Meghalaya and Assam are likely to receive it on November 21 and November 22.
The IMD has also predicted heavy downpour alerts for several areas. Tamil Nadu, Kariakal, and Puducherry are likely to receive from November 21 to November 26. Yanam, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema are likely to get it on 26 November. Nicobar Islands, Kerala, Mahe is expected to receive heavy rains from November 21 to November 26.
Fog to cover Northern States
Dense to very dense fog is expected in East Uttar Pradesh during the early morning of November 21. As per Met Department predictions, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh are likely to witness dense fog between the nights of November 22 to 25 whereas, Himachal Pradesh is expected to experience it on November 23 to November 25.
Delhi Air Quality Update
As per the latest report, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has upgraded the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) to deal with worsening air pollution in the National Capital Region (NCR). Under Stage III of GRAP norms, class up to class v must be suspended with extensions to class XII under Stage IV, eliminating state government discretion. The new regulations also mandate staggered working hours for public offices and municipal bodies during Stage III to reduce the impact on traffic congestion and emissions. These measures have been taken to curb declining air quality in the national capital. Temperature Forecast
The minimum temperatures across India have remained stable over the last 24 hours. Some states like Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jammu-Kashmir, and the northeastern states are expected to experience above-normal temperatures ranging from 2 degrees Celsius to 5 degrees Celsius.
