The India Meteorological Department has forecast that there will be isolated heavy rainfall all over Southern India from 23 Sept to 24 Sept. Moreover, similar weather patterns will likely prevail over eastern, central, and northeast India from 23 Sept to 26 Sept. As per the IMD weather bulletin, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha are likely to have average rainfall for this whole week along with isolated heavy showers from 23 Sept to 26 Sept. Madhya Pradesh is expected to receive isolated to moderate downpours for the next two days. From 24 Sept to 27 Sept, this state is also predicted to get isolated heavy rains.
Isolated heavy rainfall in southern regions
The Met Department has predicted that there will be isolated intense showers over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, and Mahe on 23 Sept and 24 Sept. South Interior Karnataka is likely to experience it today (23 Sept.). Yanam, Telangana, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh are forecast to get isolated severe rainfall from 23 Sept to 25 Sept. Likewise, North Interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema are expected to deal with similar weather conditions from 23 Sept to 24 Sept. Moderate rainfall is likely to occur over Karaikal, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry.
Northwestern India Weather Update
Dry weather conditions will be active in West Rajasthan this week whereas average rainfall will likely occur over Northwest India for the same duration.
Weather Forecast for East and Northeast India
For this whole week, the Weather Department has projected light to moderate rains in West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Moreover, Jharkhand and Bihar are likely to witness the same weather patterns for the next four days. Isolated heavy downpours are expected to happen in Tripura, Nagaland, Mizoram, Assam, Manipur, and Meghalaya from 23 Sept to 28 Sept. Arunachal Pradesh might get it from 24 Sept to Sept 28 while Odisha is likely to receive it from 23 Sept to 26 Sept.
Heavy downpours in Western India
A warning for widespread showers has been released for this week for Western India excluding Kutch, Gujarat regions, and Saurashtra. Isolated heavy to severe downpours are anticipated in Goa, and Konkan from 23 Sept to 26 Sept, Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra may get it from 23 Sept to 27 Sept.
