Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin expressed confidence on Saturday that the Opposition INDIA bloc would secure a “sweet victory” on June 4, following a heartwarming exchange with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
During Gandhi’s visit to the state on Friday, he surprised Stalin with a box of Mysore Pak, prompting a touching moment between the two leaders. Their camaraderie was on display at a poll rally in Coimbatore.
Taking to social media platform X, Stalin shared a video capturing Gandhi’s swift dash to a sweet shop, where he purchased the traditional South Indian sweet for his “brother” Stalin. Quoting a couplet from Thirukkural on love, Stalin expressed his gratitude, stating, “touched and overwhelmed by the ‘sweet gesture’ from my brother @RahulGandhi.”
Stalin further expressed confidence in the INDI alliance’s success, asserting, “On June 4th, #INDIA will surely deliver him a sweet victory!”
The viral video depicted Gandhi’s spirited dash to the sweet shop, where he specifically requested Mysore Pak for Stalin. After purchasing the sweet delicacy, Gandhi presented it to Stalin, who graciously accepted the gift.
The Congress, in a statement, hailed the gesture, emphasizing Gandhi’s strong bond with the people of Tamil Nadu.
