Mithali Raj who was recently in news for her squad’s performance against England in Women’s World Cup finals fell victim to trolls on Twitter and all because she exercised her right to choice of wearing what she was comfortable with. Social media has a long history of body shaming famous personalities so the news did not come a surprise. Mithali Raj is the captain of Women’s cricket team in Tests and ODIs and is the highest run scorer in women’s international cricket. She is also the only woman to surpass 6,000 run mark in ODIs but it seems that none of these achievements matter when it comes to the online moral police.
Trolling started when Mithali Raj on her Twitter handle shared a photograph of herself with her friends wearing a revealing top. The trolls were not amused and they blasted her for her temerity and even asked her to take the photograph down. Some have told her that this was not ‘expected’ of her. Some have asked her if she has any respect left. However, much to the surprise of many, what came as a surprise is the fact that several people on social media came to her support and spoke up on her behalf.
Virat can undress him.so why she should not?Just because of she is woman? Others countries women players are more open then her. Understood?

Mithali Raj is not the first woman celeb to get trolled, very recently, Priyanka Chopra was trolled on Twitter for wearing a ‘short’ dress in her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Deepika Padukone and Irfan Pathan’s wife too were recently trolled for their wardrobe choices on social media.
