Mumbai crime branch along with Gujarat Police on Monday arrested two shooters, who were allegedly involved in the firing incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence, from the Bhuj district. They will be brought to Mumbai on Tuesday morning.
The accused were identified as Vicky Sahab Gupta, 24, and Sagar Shrijogendra Pal, 21, from Masihi in the West Champaran district of Bihar.
Two men came on a motorbike and fired at least four rounds outside Bandra’s Galaxy Apartments, where the actor lives, on Sunday morning at around 5 am and fled. Police had said that Salman Khan was present at his house when the firing occurred.

CCTV footage showed that both accused sported caps and carried backpacks. Additionally, the clip showed them firing towards the actor’s home.
The accused had bought a second-hand bike from Raigad district to reach Khan’s residence. They travelled to Mumbai on that bike from Panvel where they had been living for the past 22 days.
Officials found that after the firing, the accused had abandoned their bike near a church, walked some distance and taken an autorickshaw to Bandra railway station. They then boarded a train to Santacruz station and hired another auto-rickshaw to go further, India Today reported.

Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, had claimed responsibility for the incident in a social media post.
Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and wanted gangster Goldie Brar have announced several times to kill Salman Khan. The gang has been targeting Salman Khan allegedly due to the 1998 blackbuck hunting incident. Blackbucks are considered sacred by the Bishnoi community.
