Tollywood superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna who has worked in over 100 films landed in a controversy on Thursday afternoon when he was caught on camera slapping an over-excited fan. The actor-turned politician has time and again made headlines for his volatile temperament in public and now a video that has gone viral on various social media platforms shows Balakrishna slapping an over-excited fan leaving everyone present at the spot shocked, CNN News 18 reports.

In this video, Ballaya, as he is called, can be seen getting mobbed when he was in Nandyal for the upcoming bypoll campaign. After a while, Balakrishna lost his cool and slapped a fan right across the face. The drama didn’t end here as the angry actor stared at the fan for a while. He then entered the building followed by other fans who were shouting the slogans of Jai Ballaya. It showed fans’ unconditional support for Ballaya despite his attitude.

Only a few days back, Balakrishna was caught on camera mistreating his assistant. According to a report by The Indian Express, this incident had taken place on the sets of Ballaya’s upcoming untitled film where he was seen hitting his unidentified assistant in the head while ordering him to remove his footwear. This video had gone viral on the internet causing some trouble for the actor.

Currently, Nandamuri Balakrishna is shooting for his 102nd film, which is directed by KS Ravikumar. This is Ravikumar’s maiden project with Ballaya and it is bankrolled by C Kalyan. Nayanthara is playing the female lead, while Prakash Raj and Jagapathi Babu too have important roles.

“He was very tired after a hectic day and when he reached the hotel around 10.45 pm there was a heavy crowd. Balakrishna obliged when they wanted to garland him but suddenly this man fell on him because of the jostling. Balakrishna then pushed him away,” a TDP leader accompanying him said while defending the act.
