It appears Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif is closely following Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s footsteps. A day after PM Modi met the Indian jawans at the Adampur air base post Operation Sindoor, now his Pakistani counterpart was seen visiting the Pasrur Cantonment in Sialkot on Wednesday. Just like Modi, Sharif was seen meeting and interacting with the soldiers. India had released the picture of a damaged radar at Pasrur 2 days ago at a press briefing.
In an official statement, it was confirmed that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with officers and soldiers who took part in ‘Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos‘. The name of the Pak operation also surfaced after India declared the launch of Operation Sindoor.
As per media reports, Shairf was joined by several top officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Army Chief General Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Federal Ministers Ahsan Iqbal and Attaullah Tarar, the Corps Commander of Sialkot, and other senior civil and military leaders.
Sharif also spoke to the troops and, according to the statement, he plans to visit more air force and naval bases to meet with members of the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy.
PM Modi’s address in Adampur
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited the Adampur Air Base in Punjab on Tuesday morning, where he met Indian Air Force personnel who were key in stopping Pakistan’s attempted strikes on both civilian and military targets.
During his address, the Prime Minister said that those leading terror activities now clearly understand the consequences of threatening India. He said that any attack on innocent lives or hostile action against the country would only lead to complete destruction for the perpetrators. Modi also noted that terrorists were being sheltered by the Pakistani military, but the Indian armed forces responded with strength and forced them to retreat.
