A Delhi metro train started emitting heavy smoke from its upper chambers today. The incident took place at the Patel Nagar metro station where the train was standing stationary on Line-3/4 (Dwarka Sector-21 to Nodia City Centre/Vaishali).

The reason of the mishap is yet to be figured out. The smoke was reported in the last coach of train (six coach) by passengers at Patel Nagar station. As a precaution, the coach was evacuated and all passengers were deboarded at Rajendra Place Metro station. The train was thereafter withdrawn from the service and sent for investigation.
