Samrat Choudhary (Tarapur) Election Result | Tarapur Election Result LIVE: Samrat Choudhary, the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar in Nitish Kumar’s government, contested from Tarapur, a constituency once represented by his mother, Parvati Devi and has won it by a comfortable margin. Choudhary, who previously contested and won from the Parbatta Assembly constituency in 2000 and 2010, faced Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Arun Shah in a closely watched contest in Tarapur. In 2010, Neeta Choudhary won this seat on Janata Dal (United) ticket, while in 2015 and 2020, her husband Mewa Lal Choudhary also contested on JD(U) ticket after her death and won the seat.

Bihar Assembly Election 2025: Exit polls

Various exit polls have predicted the seats each alliance and remaining parties will get, with mostly stating that NDA and Mahagathbandhan will see a close contest in Bihar, with other parties winning zero to few seats. According to the People’s Pulse exit poll, the NDA is expected to win 133-159 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan may secure 75-101 seats, Jan Suraaj Party to get 0-5 seats, and others between 2-8 seats.

DV Research predicted a similar trend, keeping 137-152 seats for the NDA, 83-98 for the Mahagathbandhan, 2-4 for Jan Suraaj, and 1-8 for others. JVC Exit Polls said that NDA will win 142 seats, Mahagathbandhan 95, Jan Suraaj just one, and the remaining 5 will be distributed among other parties.

Matrize predicted the NDA to win 147-167 seats and the Mahagathbandhan 70-90 seats. P-Marq estimated 142-162 seats for the NDA, 80-98 for the Mahagathbandhan, 1-4 for Jan Suraaj, and 0-3 for others. Today’s Chanakya gave NDA 142-172 seats, the Mahagathbandhan 65-89, and others 3-9. On the other hand, Axis My India predicted 121-142 seats for the NDA, 98-118 for the Mahagathbandhan, 0-2 for Jan Suraaj, and 1-7 for others.

The Bihar Assembly Election was held in two phases, with Phase 1 on November 6 and Phase 2 on November 11. The results are scheduled to be announced today, November 14.
