The reshuffle was concluded in a crucial 3-day meet of RSS bigwigs in Coimbatore, which was held to chalk out the future plans of RSS and it’s allied oufits in the wake of BJP’s landslide victory in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) parent organisation has witnessed a major reshuffle at the national level during the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha – all of it happened without a fuss and quiet quietly. The reshuffle was concluded in a crucial 3-day meet of RSS bigwigs in Coimbatore, which was held to chalk out the future plans of RSS and it’s allied oufits in the wake of BJP’s landslide victory in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The reshuffle elevated J Nanda Kumar from All India Sah Prachar Pramukh to Akhil Bhartiya Samyojak (convenor) of Prajna Pravah. Prajna Pravah, is the intellectual wing of RSS. Position of J Nanda Kumar has been filled by Narendra Kumar, who was chief pracharak of Uttar Kshetra, and now the new All India Sah Prachar Pramukh. Narendra Kumar has extensively worked in Kashmir.

J Nanda Kumar is considered among some of the few RSS pracharaks who have taken social media channels by storm by leading ideological debates against those who opposed Sangh’s ideology. He is also counted among few pracharks who are most active on Twitter. The hirerachy of social media battle starts with few top pracharks expressing their views and leaving the rest for the junior Swayamsevaks to carry on. Elevation of J Nanda Kumar’s profile clearly shows that RSS is taking the social media discourse seriously – perhaps, they are following in the footsteps of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has taken social media by storm ever since the campaigning for the 2014 general elections started.

As reported by the Indian Express, there are few other changes made by RSS, namely of, Suhas Rao Hiremath, who was the Akhil Bhartiya Sewa Pramukh, will now be the member of Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini. Parag Abhyankar will be the new Seva Pramukh, while Rajkumar Mathle will be the Sah Seva Pramukh. Also, Ajith Mahapatra, who was Sah Seva Pramukh, has been made the Sah-Samyojak of Gou Seva. Sah-Samyojak of Gou seva works for the protection of cows while Venugopal Naydu will be the new Pranth Karyavah (Andhra Pradesh).
