  • Sardarpura: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has been winning from Sardarpura since 1998. This has been a Congress bastion for over two decades. The veteran Congress leader defeated BJP’s Shambhu Singh with 63% votes in 2018. Gehlot is seeking a fourth term as the CM and is battling BJP’s Mahendra Singh Rathore for Sardarpura this time.
  • Tonk: Tonk constituency in Rajasthan is a key constituency to look at as Congress leader Sachin Pilot is contesting against BJP’s Ajit Singh Meena. In the last elections held in 2018, Pilot defeated BJP’s Yoonus Khan and secured his place in this constituency.
  • Jhalrapatan: Jhalrapatan in Rajasthan is another key constituency. Former CM Vasundhara Raje has been a favourite in Jhalrapatan since 2003. Congress candidate lost to Raje in the 2018 election as she secured 54% votes.
  • Nathdwara: In Nathdwara, BJP has fielded Vishwaraj Singh Mewar who is a descendant of Maharana Pratap Singh. Mewar is battling against the current speaker of Rajasthan Assembly, veteran CP Joshi (Congress). In 2018, Joshi was voted to power and he defeated BJP’s Mahesh Pratap Singh by a margin of 16,940 seats.
  • Jhunjhunu: In this constituency of Rajasthan, Congress’ Brijendra Ola has been voted to power consecutively three times (in 2008, 2013 and 2018). Ola is contesting against BJP’s Nishit Kumar. Ola secured victory in the 2018 elections with 76,177 votes.
  • Jhotwara: In 2018, Congress candidate Lalchand Katariya became the MLA after defeating BJP’s Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore. Rathore is an Olympian turned politician who is contesting against Congress’s Abhishek Choudhary to regain the seat.
  • Churu: BJP’s Rajendra Rathore has a strong hold in this constituency and he is also the leader of the opposition in the Rajasthan assembly. Rathore has won the seat on six separate occasions. Rathore is contesting from Taranagar in the 2023 elections as he had in 2008 where he won. BJP’s Harlal Saharan is battling against Rafique Mandelia of the Congress party in the 2023 assembly elections.
  • Udaipur: BJP has a stronghold in Udaipur as it has been voted to power since 2003. BJP has nominated Tarachand Jain this time and faced opposition from Udaipur’s Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, warning of potential party repercussions. Congress presents Gourav Vallabh, recognized for economic expertise and contributions to the party’s economic agenda, as their candidate for the Udaipur constituency.

BJP’s Rajendra Rathod is battling against Narendra Budania of Congress from Taranagar constituency. While Govind Singh Dotasra (Congress) has been fielded against Subhas Mahria (BJP) from Lacchmangarh. Congress has placed Imran Khan against MP Baba Balakanth (BJP) in an attempt to secure Tijara constituency.
