Multi-hyphenate politician Rajeev Chandrasekhar was among many others to react to the now-viral chilling video of Delhi Red Fort suicide bomber-doctor. In a strongly worded tweet shared Tuesday, the State President of Bharatiya Janata Party Kerala issued a stark warning about what posed a “real danger to India and all Indians.”

BJP’s Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Delhi bomber Umar Nabi’s video

Over a week after a car blast near the iconic Delhi monument claimed 13 lives, a self-recorded clip offering some insight into Dr Umar Mohammed aka Umar un Nabi’s terror-driven ideology came to light. Although suicide is forbidden in Islam, the Kashmiri bomber goes on to justify it as an act of “martyrdom” in the shocking video.

Consequently, Chandrasekhar re-posted the video that sought to potentially perpetuate a message for terror recruitment and dragged it over the concerning consequences it may have sparked.

“Radicalition of muslim youth and radicalized muslim youth represent a real danger to India and all Indians,” he wrote in the post. The former Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Jal Shakti went on to name-drop opposition leader Rahul Gandhi in the same post.

“In Kerala, when @RahulGandhi ‘s Cong is in an open alliance with Radical, Anti India JamaatIslami and Rahuls INDI partner @pinarayivijayan welcomes Hamas to spew hate and does politics with SDPI – this is dangerous and a threat to future of Malayalees,” he continued, adding, “This must change ! Time for Change.”

What did Umar un Nabi say in the suicide bombing video

Nabi is heard speaking in English in the video, which he used to defend his stance on suicide bombings.

“There are multiple arguments and contradictions that have been brought against it (suicide bombing),” he said. “Martyrdom operation is when a person presumes that he is going for sure die at a particular place at a particular time, he goes against the presumption that a particular person is going to die. He is going to die in a particular situation.”

As also established by the video, investigators believe that the Kashmiri doctor in question is the most radicalised member of a “white collar” terror module based in Faridabad. This, in turn, is said to be linked to the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s ‘Hamas’ reference explained

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the Communist Party of India have repeatedly stood by the Palestinian cause, with party officials also seen wearing keffiyeh, the traditional Arab headdress – now a symbol of Palestinian people.

The BJP politician’s allusion to Vijayan “welcoming Hamas” here refers to the party leader (and other Kerala politicians) having denounced what they have called the Israel-backed “genocidal war” in Gaza.

“Draped in keffiyehs, delegates at the 24th Party Congress of the CPI(M) stood in powerful solidarity with Palestine. A resolution was passed extending unwavering support to the Palestinian people against Israel’s genocidal war. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” the Kerala CM wrote on X in April.
