Call it a blot or a misfortune, after 21 years, India still struggling to nab one of the culprits of the curious case of the Purulia arms drop.
The case pertains to illegal dropping of AK-47 in the nights of December 17 1995 from an Antonov An-26 over the district of Purulia in West Bengal. The consignment had hundreds of AK-47 rifles, pistols, anti-tank grenades, rocket launchers and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
While previous attempts were made to extradite Kim Davy from Denmark, the requests have been turned down unlike this time where the Danish authorities have accepted India’s request.
