In an unfortunate incident, at least 5 coaches of Puri Haridwar Kalinga Utkal Express were derailed near Khatauli in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. At least 5 persons have been reported dead, according to various media reports. However, official word on deaths is yet to come. Moreover, at least 34 people are reportedly injured in the train mishap. Rail minister Suresh Prabhu is personally monitoring the situation.
