A police complaint was registered against veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor for sharing an offensive picture of a child on his Twitter handle. The complaint was lodged by Advocate Adil Khatri, general secretary of a Mumbai based NGO. Khatri said a complaint with Mumbai Police Commissioner, Mumbai Cyber Cell and Ministry of Woman and Child Development was filed against Rishi Kapoor for posting a nude and pornographic image of a child on his Twitter account @chintskap, as per The Indian Express.
Khatri, the secretary of Jai Ho Foundation, wants to teach the 64-year-old actor a lesson as he claimed that Rishi Kapoor has been playing with cyber laws for too long. Explaining the offense Khatri said, we don’t know who the child in the picture is, but it is offensive as the child is naked and a headphone has been stuck into his private parts.
The Bollywood veteran had also remained in controversy earlier with his acerbic wit and scathing sense of humour in social media. Kapoor has been using Twitter as his weapon to fire his salvo. He remained in news for slamming director Anurag Basu for the failure of Jagga Jasoos in twitter and his ‘Baap Ka Maal’ comment for naming public institutions after the Gandhis.
The actor today posted this video on his Twitter handle.

Earlier, the NGO had demanded a ban on a television serial Pehredaar Piya Ki for alleged vulgarity and promoting child marriage, as per India Today. It had also registered a complaint with Commissioner of Police Datta Padsalgikar and Union Minister Smriti Irani raising objections to the content of the television programme, and sought a ban on it.
