Having crossed a decade of celebrating Excellence in Journalism, The PoleStar Foundation is all set to invite nominations for the Twelfth Annual PoleStar Awards for Excellence in IT and Business Journalism.

The PoleStar Award recognizes outstanding talent among Indian media professionals and celebrates stupendous contributions from media citizens who have acted as catalysts in disseminating quality information to the world.

Interested journalists can nominate their work by logging on to http://www.polestar-foundation.org. All articles on IT and Business published between January 1, 2009, and December 31, 2009, in the Indian media can be nominated for the Twelfth Annual PoleStar Award. Nomination window is open till March 9, 2010.

The PoleStar Advisory Committee (PAC)

The PoleStar Foundation is guided by the PoleStar Advisory Committee (PAC), a panel of eminent Industry and thought leaders from the Indian IT and Business arena. The members of the PAC include Dr Ashok Jhunjhunwala, Head – Telecommunication & Networking Group & Professor, IIT-M, C K Ranganathan, Chairman & Managing Director, CavinKare Pvt. Ltd, Prof S Sadagopan, Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology Bangalore (IIIT-B), Vittal N, Former Chief Vigilance Commissioner, V Balaraman, CEO & Managing Director, Adrenalin eSystems Ltd. and Arun Jain, Founder Chairman & CEO, Polaris Software Lab Ltd.

This year?s Jury

An independent Jury consisting of leaders of the Indian Industry, will judge the nominated articles based on criteria such as Subject/Domain Knowledge, Writing Style and Presentation.

Over the last decade, the PoleStar Jury has comprised industry stalwarts like (Late) Dewang Mehta, Ashok Soota, R Seshasayee, Pradipto K Mohapatra, Ramraj R, Ganesh Natarajan, B Santhanam and Mallika Srinivasan.
