The ‘Dharma Dhwaj’ carries three sacred symbols — Om, the Sun and the Kovidara tree – each holding deep spiritual meaning in the Sanatan tradition. The Kovidara, a hybrid of the Mandar and Parijat created by Rishi Kashyap, signifies ancient plant-hybridisation wisdom. The Sun marks Lord Ram’s Suryavansh heritage, while Om represents the eternal cosmic sound.

Priest Bhola Patwa shared a personal memory from 1971, recalling how he prayed to Maharaj and Guru Maharaj Anant Shri Devrabhavji Maharaj for the day when people would witness the temple and deity at Ram Janmabhoomi.

“Today that vision has finally come true,” he told news agency IANS.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that the entire state is filled with excitement as Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in Ayodhya for the Dhwajarohan ceremony.

News agency ANI quoted Pathak as saying, “PM Modi is arriving here today, all of us in UP are excited. The world will watch the peak of Sanatan culture today when Dhwajarohan will be done…This is the culmination of thousands of years of struggle. This was awaited for years. I express gratitude to the PM. This is an auspicious day”.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath left the Saryu Atithi Grah and is heading to the Saket Degree College helipad to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Ayodhya Dhwajarohan ceremony today.

The saffron Dharam Dhwaja to be hoisted is 11 feet tall and 22 feet long. Its triangular design features a radiant Sun symbolising Lord Rama’s strength, along with the sacred symbol ‘Om’ and an image of the Kovidara tree.

As part of the celebrations, Prime Minister Modi will participate in a grand roadshow across Ayodhya. The roadshow is expected to draw large crowds of devotees and citizens eager to witness the historic occasion. The procession will culminate at the Ram temple, where the Prime Minister will officially hoist the saffron Dharam Dhwaja.
