Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a visit to his home state Gujarat on September 27 where he is slated to inaugurate and perform the ground-breaking ceremonies of projects worth Rs 5,206 crore in Chhota Udepur district.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate and dedicate development projects worth ₹4,505 crore under the Mission Schools of Excellence, along with development works of Roads and Buildings, Urban Development, Science and Technology, and Water Supply departments, the Gujarat government said on Monday.

Projects worth Rs 4,505 crore under Mission Schools of Excellence

PM Modi is slated to inaugurate development projects worth Rs 4,505 crore Under the Mission Schools of Excellence project. This includes the launch of projects worth Rs 1,426 crore. As per the Gujarat government, projects worth Rs 3,079 crore will be completed which includes 9,088 new classrooms, 50,300 smart classrooms, 19,600 computer labs, and upgradation of 12,622 classrooms among other facilities.

Village Wi-Fi for 20 lakh beneficiaries

The Prime Minister will inaugurate ‘Village Wi-Fi’ facilities in 7,500 villages across 22 districts. As many as 20 lakh beneficiaries are expected to benefit from this endeavour. An amount of Rs 60 crore has been allocated for this initiative.

Furthermore, development projects worth Rs 277 crore under the Roads and Buildings Department, Rs 251 crore under the Urban Development Department, and Rs 80 crore under the Water Supply Department will also be inaugurated. As per details shared by the state government, a new Navodaya Vidyalaya costing Rs 23 crore and an FM Radio Studio costing Rs 10 crore will also be inaugurated in Dahod by the PM during his visit.
