Operation Sindoor: In a major counterattack move, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).  As per the official statement released by the Ministry of Defense on Wednesday. The operation hit nine carefully chosen locations that were believed to be command centres for the recent terror attacks in India.

The operation was carried out with surgical precision and was termed as ”focused, measured, and non-escalatory.” The Ministry also clarified that no Pakistani military facilities were targeted, emphasizing India’s efforts to maintain strategic restraint, along with sending a strong message to terror perpetrators.

”These actions are in response to the barbaric Pahalgam terror attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen lost their lives,” the statement mentioned. The government also highlighted its commitment to ensure accountability for those who are responsible. ”We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held responsible,” it further added.

Operation Sindoor was conducted just days after the Pahalgam terror attack that shocked the nation, resulting in widespread public outrage and calls for strong action. Officials stated that the targeted locations have been used against India for planning and directing terrorist operations.

On purpose, India avoided Pakistani military installations, the attack was made to avoid escalation while conveying a clear signal. The Defence Ministry underlined, ”India has demonstrated considerable restraint in the selection of targets and method of execution.”

The Indian Army statement concluded with the note that the nature of the targets and the specifics of the operation are expected to be shared in a detailed briefing, which is scheduled to take place later today.

A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed.

Altogether, nine (9) sites have been targeted.

Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution.

These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered. We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable.
