Looks like all hell broke loose over Kunal Kamra’s recent remarks about former Maharashtra CM and currently Deputy CM Eknath Shinde. From Shiv Sena leaders demanding arrest of Kamra to warning him that he will be “forced to flee India” to ransacking the venue where he performed, the anger among the party workers seems to be rising since last night. Amid this controversy, the stand-up comedian took to X and posted a picture of him holding the pocket edition of Constitution of India. “The only way forward,” Kamra captioned the post.

In a full-length video of the act posted by Kamra on YouTube, he could be seen taking out the same slim red coat pocket edition of Constitution and saying, “At some point I will put this video out…and for all the people who won’t like the show, I have something for you.” He then flashed the book and added, “This is what allows me to do what I do and in the framework of the book, you can feel free to do anything.”

Shiv Sena workers stormed and vandalised the Habitat Comedy Club in Khar on Sunday over the Shinde remarks that are viral now. Reacting to the incident, Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske accused Kamra of being a “hired comedian” who makes statements about the party’s leader for financial gain.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel filed an FIR against Kamra at the MIDC police station, demanding strict action. Patel also issued an ultimatum, calling for an apology within two days, warning that Kamra “would not be allowed to move freely in Mumbai” if he failed to comply.

Patel further stated that he would bring up the issue in the assembly and urged the state home minister to take firm action against the comedian, ANI reported.
