A huge fire broke out at a building in Noida’s Sector 65 in the early hours of Sunday. According to news agency ANI, 15 fire tenders arrived at the spot to douse the fire.
The fire, which has now been extinguished, broke out likely due to a short circuit, according to the Chief Fire Officer of Noida.
The clips shared by the news agency show the flames gripping the building from the bottom to the top floor.
“We received information about the fire in a leather manufacturing company at around 4.30am. 15 fire tenders were sent to the spot and the fire has been extinguished. No casualties or injuries reported. It seems the fire broke out due to a short circuit,” said Pradeep Kumar, Noida CFO.

Another incident of fire was reported last Sunday where a major fire broke out at the Ghazipur landfill site in east Delhi and officials cited hot and dry weather conditions to be the cause of fire.
An FIR has been filed by the police against unknown individuals regarding the incident. The police have initiated an investigation and registered a case under sections 336 (endangering life or personal safety of others) and 278 (creating a harmful atmosphere to health) of the Indian Penal Code at Ghazipur police station.
Following this, the Delhi government has instructed its environment department to furnish a comprehensive report on the fire’s causes and a preventive strategy for similar incidents at such locations during the summer.
Earlier this year in March, a fire erupted in two apartments within a residential complex in Greater Noida West, prompting the dispatch of five fire tenders to extinguish the flames.
