Bihar Elections 2025: The NDA released its long-awaited seat-sharing plan on Sunday, October 12, 2025, ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. ‘After elections, BJP will eliminate JDU,’ says RJD Leader Mrityunjay Tiwari
Reacting to the NDA’s announcement of its seat-sharing plan for the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari said that things were not going well within the NDA and that the BJP plans to sideline the Janata Dal (United) and take Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s position.
Speaking to ANI, Mrityunjay Tiwari said, “It’s clear that all is not well within the NDA. We’ve been saying that the BJP will eliminate the JDU. Until now, the JDU used to be in the role of the elder brother, but now it has been brought to the same level. Chirag Paswan and the BJP have taken 130 seats. Now, after the elections, the BJP will eliminate the JDU and take the Chief Minister’s seat.”
‘This decision will sadden thousands,’ says RLM’s Upendra Kushwaha
Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) national president Upendra Kushwaha said the party’s allotment of six seats in the upcoming Bihar elections may disappoint many supporters and party members who hoped to contest.
He asked people to understand the limitations and challenges that led to this decision.
In a social media post on X on Sunday, Kushwaha expressed regret over the seat distribution, saying it fell short of expectations and would likely sadden many, including colleagues who wanted to contest. He also acknowledged the difficulties faced by families affected by the news but emphasized that the party and he were constrained by circumstances.
‘No complaints’: Jitan Ram Manjhi
Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) chief and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Sunday said that he has no complaints over the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, under which his party has been allotted six seats to contest.
Speaking to reporters after the announcement of the seat-sharing formula, Mr. Manjhi stated that he fully accepts the decision made by the NDA leadership.
“In the Parliament, we were given only one seat, were we upset? Similarly, if we got only 6 seats, it is the decision of the high command. We accept it… We are content with what we have been given. I have no complaints,” said Mr. Manjhi.
