Bihar assembly election 2025: A switch of fingers while showing the ink to proof that she has voted, Shambhavi Chaudhary of Chirag Paswan’s LJP(RV) has stoked a row. The Samastipur MP was posing in front of the camera on Thursday, along with his father and JDU leader Ashok Chaudhary and her mother. The family had cast their votes and were showing their inked fingers to the camera.

Shambhavi initially shows the inked finger in her right hand, but seconds later, she switches and shows the inked finger on her left hand. The LJP MP also talks to her mother, appearing to be discussing about which finger to show.

However, the event was captured on camera and now is being widely circulated on social media, with claims that she may have voted twice in the Bihar election phase 1.

Meanwhile, sharing her photos on X, Congress said it is “vote theft from both hands”.

‘Did she vote twice?’

A user shared the 11-second clip on X and asked why she switched suddenly and her face expressions changed. “She is Shambhavi Chaudhary, daughter of JDU leader Ashok Chaudhary & MP from Chirag Paswan’s LJP,” the user said.

“Yesterday, after voting in Bihar, she was posing for the camera & she had ink on both hands. Did she vote twice? Just look at her expressions after being exposed!” the post read.

In the comment section, many people flagged that the JDU leader and her father’s facial expression had also changed. Many tagged the official handle of the election commission, seeking an explanation to what they saw.

There has been no official remark from the poll panel or any of the parties on the matter. Financialexpress.com could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.

Voting for the phase 1 of Bihar election 2025 was held across 121 constituencies on Nov 6 and 122 remaining constituencies will vote in phase 2 on Nov 11. The results will be declared on Nov 14.
