The India Meteorological Department has warned that there could be extremely heavy rainfall in Goa, Konkan, and Madhya Maharashtra from July 13 to July 16 and has issued red alert for the same. Moreover, similar weather conditions are expected in South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka and Gujarat Region.
Delhi Weather Update:
The national capital is expected to have a generally cloudy sky with light rain. Yesterday, Delhi was lashed with heavy downpours providing much relief from hot humid weather.
IMD’s Warning for Heavy Rainfall:
The Met Department has forecast that there will be isolated heavy rainfall in Konkan, Goa along with Madhya Maharashtra from July 14 to July 16. South Interior Karnataka and Coastal Karnataka will get it on July 14 and July 15. Additionally, Gujarat Region will experience it from July 14 to July 16, Kutch and Saurashtra will have it on July 16 and July 17. A heavy to very heavy downpour is likely to occur in Chhattisgarh on July 14, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Telangana will experience it on July 15 whereas Odisha will get it on July 14 and July 15. Nagaland will receive heavy rainfall on July 14 and Odisha will have it on July 14 and July 15.
Heavy rainfall might take place in Meghalaya, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Manipur from July 14 to July 16. Bihar, Sikkim, and West Bengal will likely deal with similar weather patterns from July 14 to July 15. Andaman & Nicobar Island will get an isolated wet spell on July 14. Likewise, the IMD has projected isolated heavy rainfall in East Rajasthan and Uttarakhand from July 14 to July 17 whereas Uttar Pradesh is expected to get it from July 14 to July 15.
Moderate Rainfall predicted across Northeast and East India:
An average range of rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely to take place across the Northeast and East India for the next four days. The Weather Department has also notified that there could be widespread moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh in the upcoming couple of days. An isolated scattered rainfall might happen in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Muzaffarabad, Jammu-Kashmir, Gilgit, Baltistan and Ladakh in next four days.
