The India Meteorological Department has warned that a monsoon depression is currently present over northwest and west-central Bay of Bengal. Under its influence, isolated extremely heavy rainfall is expected in Telangana and Vidarbha, Coastal Karnataka, Goa, Konkan, south interior Karnataka, and Gujarat.
IMD issues red alert warning
The Met Department has issued a red alert warning for heavy rainfall for Telangana, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, Goa, Konkan, Vidarbha, and Madhya Maharashtra.

Heavy Rainfall Prediction:

Similar weather conditions will be there in Goa, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, and Konkan on July 20. Gujarat will get it on July 21 to July 22 and is expected to decline later.
Maharashtra, Goa, Konkan, Karnataka, and Gujarat likely to get heavy downpours:
The Weather Department has also notified of a heavy wet spell over Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Goa, Konkan, South Interior Karnataka, and Coastal region for the next four days. Kerala and Mahe will experience it from July 20 to July 21, Yanam and Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu might get it on July 20 whereas Madhya Pradesh is likely to receive it from July 20 to 23. Odisha, North Interior Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Vidarbha, and North Interior Karnataka may get isolated heavy rainfall in a couple of days. Moreover, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Marthwada have been forecast to have it on July 20.
Northeastern Regions are to get heavy rainfall for the next four days
The Northeast India region is anticipated to have heavy rainfall at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, and Mizoram in the upcoming four days.
