Two video capturing visuals of the exact moment when the fatal car blast near Red Fort took place on Monday evening have become the latest cause of trepidation among Delhiites, and those across the country at large. Leaving citizens at a loss of words, the November 10 tragedy that happened near Gate No. 1 of the Lal Quila metro station was caused by a “slow-moving” Hyundai i20 car.
Eyewitness accounts have been pouring since last evening. On top of that, the aforementioned recently surfaced clips paint a vivid picture of the chaos that erupted in a fraction of second when the loud explosion was heard in the near distance.
Exact moment when Red Fort blast rocked Delhi caught on cam
CCTV footage and mobile video from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk showed the street bustling with hundreds of people when a loud explosion stopped everyone in their tracks. A video captured on a mobile phone particularly showed two men talking about something undecipherable just second before the Delhi blast.
As panic consumed the crowd gathered in the market area, chaos took over within seconds. Leaving everything as it was, people who were previously engrossed in something lighthearted were prompted to flee the scene for safety.
Another video gaining numbers on social media caught a similar outlook. A loud explosion was heard in the background along with the reflection of a massive blaze spotted behind those appearing on camera.
People shuddered in fear as the piercing sound of the blast caught them completely off-guard on what they initially presumed would be a calm and uneventful evening in the National Capital.
