PM Modi’s address in Barasat

The focus of Modi’s visit to Barasat is expected to center around women’s empowerment, providing a platform for women to directly voice their concerns to the Prime Minister. The BJP has actively organized similar events across different regions of West Bengal, with recent rallies held in Arambagh and Krishnanagar. During these rallies, Modi addressed various issues and criticized the Trinamul Congress for alleged malpractices. The upcoming rally in Barasat is anticipated to intensify attention on Sandeshkhali.

Moreover, a select group of women attending Wednesday’s rally is anticipated to have the opportunity to directly communicate their grievances to the Prime Minister, according to media reports.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for multiple projects in Kolkata today, totaling Rs 15,400 crore. This visit marks part of PM’s 10-day tour across 12 states and union territories. Notably, this is Modi’s second trip to West Bengal within five days.

PM Modi’s schedule will begin with the inauguration of the East-West Metro’s Howrah Maidan-Esplanade section in the morning from Howrah. Following this, he will take a helicopter ride from Howrah to Dum Dum airport, then proceed to Barasat, as per several media reports. A roadshow spanning 11 kilometers will then escort him to the rally ground at Barasat’s Kachari Maidan.

Prime Minister is expected to address the public rally in Barasat later in the afternoon. Barasat is situated in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district, which includes Sandeshkhali.
